Ghana forward Andre Ayew has confirmed he will leave Olympique Marseille at a future date.

The 24-year-old failed to secure a move away from the French giants despite frantic efforts on transfer deadline day.

Ayew, son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele was in London on transfer deadline day to force a move to an unnamed English club.

Manchester United and Chelsea were mentioned as possible destinations for the Ghana international.

Hull City and QPR were also linked to the talented forward.

Negotiations with the unnamed interests however fell through in the last minute, meaning Ayew will return to Marseille at least until January.

The Black Stars player has now confirmed he will leave the French giants where he has played since he turned professional.

“I know I am not going to do my whole life in Marseille but I will one day, when the time is right, I will take the decision and I will leave,” he told Africanfootball.com.

Ayew has been consistently linked to moves away from Marseille for the past four seasons.

He is however a cult hero at the Stade Velodrome but the Ghanaian wants to move elsewhere to prove himself.
