GHALCA set to launch Top Four tournament

By Ameenu Shardow

GHALCA is set to launch the Top Four tournament on Thursday.

The pre-season tournament returns to its original format after it was extended to an eight-club competition last year.

This year’s Top Four will be contested by Premier League champions Asante Kotoko, FA Cup finalist AshantiGold, Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC.

Thursday’s launch is expected to be used by organizers of the competition to unveil its sponsors and also to announce fixtures and other associated formalities.

The competition itself is expected to start on September 15.

    USELESS TOP 4.
INSTEAD GHALCA SHOULD HELP OTHER CLUBS PLAY PRESEASON FRIENDLIES IN THE BUILD UP TO THE OPENING OF THE SEASON. INFACT, THE FIST GAME SHOULD BE A MATCH BETWEEN RIVALS…LIKE TRU VS KPANDO, OR KOTOKO VS HEARTS OR ASHGOLD VS NEW EDUBIASE ETC….I PERSONALLY THINK TOP 4 IS USELESS.
