Ghana League Clubs Association Administrative Manager Christopher Association admitted the body has lost its ‘respect’ in Ghana football.

He claims the Amendment of the Ghana FA regulations in 2006 denied the chairman of GHALCA the automatic position as Ghana FA vice-chairman is the chief reason.

“The GFA did GHALCA a great disservice in the past. From the moment Kwesi Nyantakyi became the President,’’ Opoku told CampioneSports.net.

“You know initially, we used to have the Chairman of GHALCA becoming the Vice Chairman of the FA. That’s no longer the case.

"The regulations mean that GHALCA is now nothing more than a welfare body and it doesn’t have the sort of respect that it requires from the FA.”
