The Ghana Football Association’s collaboration with English side Manchester City Football Club continued off the field with sports science taking centre stage.

A member of the GFA’s Medical Committee, Dr Prince Pambo undertook a four-day attachment with the Premiership side from 12th - 16th December 2013 to acquaint himself with the dynamics of the medical side of the game at City's base in Carrington.

Dr Pambo, who works with Ghana’s national teams, discussed with his Man City counterparts modern trends in injury prevention and management and performance analysis from the medical perspective.

The visit forms part of the collaboration between the GFA and Manchester City where Technical members of the GFA can visit for professional attachments.

The Ghana Football Association in November 2012 signed a cooperation agreement with Manchester City to allow for technical training.

Coaches of the national team as well as some administrators from the GFA have visited Manchester City as part of the agreement.
