Half-Ghanaian Jerome Boateng has revealed his nerves were jangling when he played against Ghana at the 2010 World Cup.
The Germany international was facing his brother Kevin-Prince Boateng who featured for the Black Stars in the 1-0 defeat at the Soccer City Stadium.
The Bayern Munich star, who qualities for play for the West Africans, claimed he opted to represent Germany because he had featured for the youth teams of the European country.
"That first time in 2010 I was very nervous before the game. It is not a normal game when you play against your brother,â⬠Boateng said.
ââ¬ÅIââ¬â¢m younger and Iââ¬â¢m always nervous before games and it was a really big game for us and for me. I just tried to concentrate on the game."
