Germany coach admits weather difficulties against Ghana at 2014 World Cup
Joachim Loew says they will face weather problems in Brazil

Coach Joachim Loew believes Germany will need to adapt to hot and humid conditions against Ghana when the two sides clash at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The former champions will also face touch sides in the USA and Portugal in the Group of Death following the draw in Bahia on Friday.

The Germans kick off their Group G campaign against the Portuguese in Salvador, before facing the Ghanaians in Fortaleza and the Americans in Recife.

With the Black Stars already used to the hot and humid conditions in their country in West Africa, the Germany boss admits it the weather will be a difficulty.

"In our preparations, we have to get used to the humidity and high temperatures," said Loew.

"I have already been to Fortaleza and Recife, where we will find difficult conditions to acclimatise to. We will have to adapt our preparations."

All three games will be played on Brazil's coast, with the games against Portugal and USA kicking off at 1pm local time, with average daytime high temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius expected in both Salvador and Recife.

The Ghana game, in Fortaleza on the north coast, will be played in similar temperatures despite the 4pm kick-off.

"We have to accept the group as it is," said Loew.

"We now know who and where we play, and we can take the next step to work for the World Cup."

The Germans have yet to decide between using either Salvador or Sao Paulo as their World Cup base, with the FIFA deadline set for 18 December.

Loew will lead a delegation from the German Football Federation (DFB) to visit both hotels over the weekend before flying home.
