Germany captain Philip Lahm has cautioned his teammates not underestimate the firepower of Ghana at this summer’s FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.

The three-time World champions will meet the Black Stars in their second Group G clash at Fortaleza on 21 June.

It is a repeat of their Group D clash at the 2010 finals in South Africa where a solitary goal from Mesut Ozil divided the two sides.

Lahm will have his last crack at a chance to win a World Cup with Germany who have buckled at the penultimate stage in recent times

“Ghana is a strong side with so many world class players,” Lahm told FIFA.com

“We have played them in recent times and it took Ozil to make the difference so we have to be at our best to beat them.”

Germany warmed up for the World Cup with an unconvincing 1-0 win over Chile on Wednesday night.
