German Bundesliga giants Schalke 04 could put Ghana international midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng on transfer next summer due to bad performance, according to reports.

The 27-year-old has failed to live up to the billing since his arrival from AC Milan on a 10-million Euro transfer in 2012.

Boateng's Schalke contract runs out in winter 2015 and the Royal Blues are prepared to allow him leave the club to his unimpressive performance and off-the field issues.

According to reports in Germany, Schalke fans feel Boateng has not given his best to the club since his arrival and the departure of Jens Keller and sporting director Horst Heldt would spell the end for the Ghanaian at the club.

He has been linked with a move to AS Monaco in the past but it is now unclear whether the club would still pursue their interest in signing him.
