Gerald Ankrah has confirmed his appointment as the new Managing Director for Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak.
The Executive Director of the Ghana Independent Broadcaster Association has been handed a two year contract to replace Neil Armstrong Mortagbe who resigned earlier this year.
Ankrah is expected to be officially unveiled in a ceremony on Tuesday.
He confirmed being handed the appointment but says he will only announce his plans for the club after his official presentation.
ââ¬ÅYes, I have been given the nod,â⬠he confirmed to Metro FM.
ââ¬ÅIt is a two-year contract but you will get to know the details later.
ââ¬ÅI have been in football for a long time especially with Hearts of Oak.
ââ¬ÅI donââ¬â¢t talk much but if you ask about me from the Hearts people, they will tell you more.
ââ¬ÅI will announce my programs and initiatives after I have been officially appointed.ââ¬
Ankrah will be tasked to the day-to-day running of Hearts of Oak as they look to reclaim their past glory in the coming season.
