George Afriyie is set to be named the new chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, according to local media reports.

This is expected to be the major change expected in the imminent restructuring of the national various teams.

The former Great Olympics chairman will be confirmed at Thursday’s Ghana FA Executive Committee meeting where changes will be announced.

Afriyie has had a successful spell as chairman of the Ghana U20 team after leading the Black Satellites to win silver at the 2013 African Youth Championship and bronze at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup.

He was also in charge when the team qualified for the 2015 tournament in Senegal.

According to rumours, veteran administrator Kudjoe Fianoo who is Chief Executive of AshantiGold FC, will be named his deputy.

Fianoo has rich experience in-charge of the national team after his role as Team Manager in the early 90s.

Alhaji Adam Munkaila, chairman of the Black Queens management committee, will also be drafted in as a member.

Also, a former footballer is being considered for a place in the Black Stars management committee.
