Genoa is understudying Ghana youth midfielder Yussif Raman Chibsah

Italian Serie A side Genoa could make a surprise move to sign Ghana youth midfielder Yussif Raman Chibsah in January, Ghanasoccernet.com has learnt.

Genoa manager Luigi De Canio sent scouts to watch the Juventus starlet when he won the man-of-the-match award and scored for Sassuolo in their 4-0 win over Varese in the Italian Serie B on Sunday.

The 19-year-old has been impressive at the Stadio Alberto Braglia since he returned on loan from Parma.

Juventus allowed the Ghana U20 midfielder to join Parma on a co-ownership basis but Parma farmed him out to Sassuolo.
