Serie A side Genoa are interested in signing Ghana youth midfielder Afriyie Acquah.

The 20-year-old is reported to be angling for a move away from Palermo after being limited to the bench last season.

Genoa have been watching the situation at the Stadio Renzo Barbera and manager Luigi De Canio is expected to officially bid for his services.

Italian Serie A side Parma are said to be close to signing the former Ghana U20 midfielder.
