Black Stars new boy Baba Abdul Rahman has hailed the gallantry of Asante Kotoko for their impressive 0-0 draw against Algerian side JSM Béjaïa in the CAF Champions League last 16 first-leg tie on Friday.

The Porcupine Warriors secured an important away draw as they held the wasteful Algerian side at their own backyard.

The result put Kotoko in an advantaged positioning to reach the group stages of the competition for the first time in seven seasons while the Algerians are long odd favourites to progress.

And, Baba who enjoyed a memorable stint with the two-time African champions last season before joining German Bundesliga new boys Greuther Furth, has congratulatory message for his former team-mates.

“Kodus to the fabulous lads for making Ghana proud in today’s Africa champions league.we hope and pray the return league will be a win for us,,,,Fabu oooo Fabu,” he wrote on his personal facebook wall.

Kotoko will play the Algerians in the reverse fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium in a fortnight time.
