Fulham manager Felix Magath has given midfielder Derek Boateng the green light to head out on loan.

The Ghanaian has endured a frustrating time at Craven Cottage since his summer switch from Dnipro, making just two Premier League starts.

Boateng hasn’t played at all since the FA Cup draw against Norwich in January and was close to joining Watford, only for a move to Vicarage Road to fall through.

The 30-year-old, who has recently been linked with Championship strugglers Charlton, has failed to feature since Magath took charge last month.

And the German coach has given Boateng permission to move on in a bid to save his World Cup dreams.
