Fulham boss Jol expects big impact from Frimpong

Posted On Wednesday, 30th January 2013

Emmanuel Frimpong has joined Fulham

Fulham boss Martin Jol is convinced on-loan Arsenal’s Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong can make a big impact.

The Ghanaian star is in line to make his Fulham debut in the Premier League clash with West Ham on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old joined on loan from Arsenal on Friday and could now face the Hammers.

Jol wants him to help fill the hole left in his midfieldby the sale of Mousa Dembele and the injury to Mahamadou Diarra.

Jol said: “We had different teams in these games. Today it showed we need specific qualities in midfield, which we always did with Dembele or Diarra.

“Frimpong is quite a good warrior. We are not the youngest team in the league and maybe he can give us a bit more legs.”
