French-born Ghanaian left-back Dennis Appiah returned to action for FC Caen and helped them cruise to a 2-0 win over Stade Reims after he was freed from suspension by the French Ligue 1 board.

The Ligue 1 board announced their decision to reverse the ban on the former AS Monaco defender after Caen appealed against the referee decision to march him off during Caen's 1-0 loss against Lille last weekend.

With the decision coming in on time, Caen manager Patrice Garande named him in his defence compartment at the Stade Auguste-Delaune II.

Caen registered their second win of the campaign to stay in fourth place on the section.
