In-form Ghanaian striker John Antwi is not getting overly worried after been overlooked for next monthââ¬â¢s international friendly against Montenegro.
The 21-year-old has become one of the standout Ghanaian performers abroad with an impressive scoring rate for Egyptian side Ismaily.
The former Hearts of Oak attacker is the leading goal scorer in the Egyptian top flight with seven goals in 10 games.
Many fans had tipped the ex- Dreams FC product to have earned a place in the team to justify his inclusion but had their dreams dashed after he was overlooked.
Antwi has however revealed that he is not losing over the development.
ââ¬ÅIt is the dream of any player to play for his national team but like I mentioned earlier, I am always going to respect the coachââ¬â¢s decision,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com
ââ¬ÅI am happy at my club and I am not angry that I was not invited.
ââ¬ÅI believe my chance will come. Itââ¬â¢s just a matter of time. I am delighted with my progress here and Iââ¬â¢m looking forward to scoring more goals.
ââ¬ÅThe Egyptian League is perhaps the biggest and strongest League on the African continent and so if youââ¬â¢re scoring week-in and week-out, you canââ¬â¢t be a bad player, I guess."
Kwesi Appiah opted to keep faith with star striker Asamoah Gyan and rising star Abdul Majeed Waris.
However the inclusion of goal-shy Jordan Ayew has sparked massive debate in the West African country.
