Former Ghana U20 winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi marked his maiden outing with Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko with a goal in their 2-1 win over second-tier side Asokwa Deportivo on Friday.Ã
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder is joining the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year-contract after leaving South African Premier League side Maritzburg United and scored his first goal on his first game, finishing off a brilliant move initiated by another new arrival Obed Owusu.
Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani has focused his attention on pre-season games after exiting the GHALCA Top-Four competition following their back-to-back loss to regional rivals AshGold.
Former Berekum Chelsea playmaker, who joined Kotoko on a three-year-contract, registered the Ghana Premier League title-holders' other goal with a cracking volley - his second pre-season goal since his arrival.
Kotoko will intensify their pre-season for the league defense with three four players expected to arrive. The Porcupine Warriors have already secured Ghana U20 full-back Emmanuel Asante from Bechem United while Aduana Stars' Godfred Saka and Ivorian Ahmed Toure are expected to join early next week.
Aduana Stars have agreed on a transfer fee for Saka and the versatile full-back is expected to arrive in Kumasi to complete his switch while Ahmed Toure has already arrive in Kumasi from Abidjan after swerving rivals Hearts of Oak.
