Ghana winger Frank Acheampong scored his Black Stars debut goal during Tuesday’s international friendly against Japan.
The 19-year-old rattled in the opening goal from deflection to put the visitors in front of packed 70,000 fans at the Yokohama stadium before the host came from behind to score three goals in the second half through Kagawa, Endo and Honda.
The Anderlect star put up a decent performance in his first start for the Black Stars as he dazzled with his speed and power-play especially in the first half.
But the Ghanaians looked jittery in the second with some poor goalkeeping from Spain-based Razak Brimah.
Coach Kwesi Appiah fielded a weakened side for the friendly in a move to test his fringe players ahead of the World Cup qualifying play-offs next month.
