Ghana youth international winger Frank Acheampong believes Anderlecht did not deserve to lose against Arsenal in Wednesday night's Uefa Champions League clash in Belgium.

Anderlecht were fell 2-1 at the Stade Constant Vanden Stock despite taking a second-half lead through Andy Najer.

The English Premier League side staged a strong performance to claim victory with Kieran Gibbs and Lukas Podolski scoring twice late in the game.

And, Acheampong believes Anderlecht did enough to win the game.

"We shouldn't have lost this game, because we played better and we had it in our power to kill it off in the first half," he said in a post-match interview.

The former King Faisal playmaker lasted the entire duration of the game for Anderlecht who could have enhanced their qualification chances with a win.

But despite the loss, the 21-year-old remain defiant of progress.

This was a great chance to bounce back into the race to qualify, but we blew it. But we are not giving up, because there are three more matches to play in the group so we will wait and see what happens."
