Kadidiatou Diani’s brace has handed France a 2-0 win over Ghana to advance to the finals of the Fifa Under-17 Women’s World Cup.

The leading top scorer in the competition scored a goal in each half to give the European side a deserve victory in Azerbaijan on Tuesday.

The Ghanaians looked lethargic and struggled to break the resolute defensive network of the French as their fairly tale story ended in a defeat.

Diani scored first from a glancing header on the 31stminute mark before she coolly slotted home the killer blow with a  minute to glow to reach their maiden finals.

The leading top scorer in the competition scored a goal in each half to give the European side a deserve victory in Azerbaijan.

The French were dominant from the blast of the whistle – leaving the West African side to chase shadows in the game.

The Black Maidens’s quest to get an equalizer was made more complicated after star striker Jane Ayiayem was shown the marching off orders for a second bookable offence- leaving  head coach Mas-ud Didi Draman with little options.

The Black Maidens had few chances at goal as the Les Bleuettes kept the chunk of possession and it was only a matter of time for them to put the icing on the cake.

A sweet attacking flow from the French side saw striker Diani used her fast pace to outrun  her marker to brilliantly plant home the second goal.

The Ghanaians will however hold their chest high after a riveting run in the competition.

They are still in with a chance to win silverware when they play the loser of the German- Korea DPR game on Saturday for bronze.
