South African Premier Soccer League side Ajax Cape Town are assessing Ghanaian striker Kofi Nti Boakye.

The former Asante Kotoko player arrived at the club this week and must do more to impress head coach Roger de Sa.

Boakye has two weeks to fight for a deal from the Urban Warriors.

The 27-year-old will be trying out with Nigerian duo, Idris Ahmed and Ehiz Guobadia.

Boakye is available on a free transfer after parting ways with newly-promoted Egyptian Premier League side Misr El Makasa.

He also had an ill-fated spell with Libyan side Al Ahli where he quit after five months into a three-year contract.
