Former Kotoko striker Ben Acheampong eyes goal king title in Angolan top-flight

Ghana striker Ben Acheampong is aiming at winning the goal king in the Angolan top-flight after assessing his early form.

Acheampong joined Petro Atletico from Asante Kotoko last year and has scored two goals in three matches for the Luanda-based side.

The stout forward scored one of two goals that aided his side to win a Provincial Cup last Sunday.

The former trialist at Swedish side Helsingborg has set his sights on becoming the most prolific player in the Girabola.

"It is my hope and desire to score in every game I play. I have already scored two goals out of three games and I hope to continue like this," Acheampong said.

"It is my dream to end the season as the top scorer. I will be happy because that is what I am praying for."

Acheampong signed a two year renewable contract for an undisclosed fee.
