Florence Dadson scoops top award for RMU in America

Florence Dadson has been voted as 2012 CCAC Conference Player of the Year after her heroics helped Robert Morris University to win their first  title in 8-years.

The Ghana under-20 striker raked in 28 goals to propelled her side to win their first title in eight years.

Dadson is now the seventh player in the program’s history to earn CCAC Conference Player of the Year honours and first since Gifty Appiah won it in 2009.

Compatriot Olivia Amoako earned her third consecscutive CCAC All-Conference 1st team selection as central back for the Eagles.

Amoako and and the Eagles backline allowed only 10 goals scored for third best in the conference and she has been a four-year starter at her position for Robert Morris University.

Junior central midfielder Linda Eshun makes her second straight appearance on the first team and is RMU’s second leading scorer behind Dadson.

Eshun has scored career high 11 goals and four assists for 26 points this season and has been the team’s engine and playmaker in midfield.

She was also a NAIA All –America Honourable Mention selection in 2011
