Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah has thrown himself into contention for a spot in coach Kwesi Appiah’s team for the 2014 World Cup after he declared his return to full fitness.

The Red Bull Salzburg player tore an anterior crucial ligament in his knee in May last year during a Cup match and has been slow in his recovery.

He was expected to be fit before the start of the season but the centre-back is yet to kick a ball.

But Vorsah claims he is okay now and could earn some game time before the end of the season.

“It’s been good. I’ve obviously had a few knocks here and there but gradually I am getting fit and returning to playing regularly for my club and country,” he said.

“I’ve tried to focus on being ready for the World Cup and that’s been the main thing really. I know I have been out for long but thankfully it’s all over for me”.

“I will come back pretty much fit, if I’m being honest.’’

Vorsah was a member of the Black Stars team which reached the last eight of the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.

  2. keith from germany says:

Bro benny it will be more than nice to have him back to add some stability in the defence.
Vorsah is a tower but we will advice him to slow down and not rush just to prevent fresh setbacks.
There is still two and a half months to go.

Fit again vorsah ll bring stability to our back line but we ll still have problems!! We are all witnesses to the absmal performance of vorsah and john boye in south Africa whereby bancey torn our defence into pieces! Bancey was like messi against these two Ghanaian defenders walking thru- tthem like a piece of cheesecake!! This average burkinabe could have score an alvanche of goals thru these average defenders!! We need JOHN MENSAH because all these defenders play with confidence when pair with him!! Vorsah is good in the air but very poor on the turf! John boye is good in the air but lacks concentration and poor too on the ground! Jerry akaminko is proving us all wrong with his virtuous performances against Egypt but he is highly inconsistent! Jonathan mensah has no composure esp when he is pressed against good strikers!!! The only person that can help organize our defence and bring real stability we needed at the back is JOHN MENSAH and I want anyone to prove me wrong!! Age is non starter becasue non of our players have their real age except Dede, Jordan, kwarasey and kpb! The rest have their football ages!

Benito dont worry mate.its all good.
I will never quarrell over football just because somebody insults because of my opinion.
You see me and selfmade we always argue constructively without insulting and thats the standard we all have to set here.
Bennito my brother the best way to answer a lunatic is by ignoring and noz paying attention to him.
One love brother.im cool with you

Vosah will surely solve the difficulties in our defence puzzle,John mensah too is doing great.

I am very sure AA will not sit back n watch he will attack, so attacking with a solid defenders will help us a lot.

    God bless Ghana
