Under-fire Hearts coach Mohammed Polo has reportedly resigned from the club, moment after seeing his side battered 3-0 at home by All Stars, GHANAsocernet.com can reveal.

The beleaguered trainer is reported to have informed Board chairman Togbe Afede  about his decision to exit the club due to incessant pressure but he rejected instantly, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The former Ghana international feels he’s being sabotaged from transforming  the side and hence wants to jump the ship before he is pushed out.

Polo admitted on national television that the club was in crisis but remained adamant about resigning from the club.

He claimed he has received numerous death threat on his phone from angry Hearts fans who have been unimpressed with his performance since he took over from dismissed David Duncan.

The iconic Hearts figure will make his decision official to Board chairman Togbe Afede despite the initial rejection of his verbal resignation.

Hearts have endured a topsy turvy campaign in the Ghanaian top-flight and Wednesday’s heavy defeat to All Stars has seems to have broken the camels’ back.

Officials have remained tight-lipped on the issue as they try to talk him out of calling it quit.
