Richard Kissi-Boateng has been named in Ghana's squad to face Zambia despite receiving a red car in his last competitive match for the Black Stars.

The TP Mazembe defender has been cleared by FIFA after receiving a straight red in June's 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan.

The left-back however sat out the other World Cup qualifier against Lesotho later that month – one which the Black Stars won convincingly.

The Ghana FA sought clearance from FIFA before naming the 24-year-old in squad to face Zambia on September 6 in Kumasi and a friendly against Japan three days later.

Boateng is now set to make a return to the Black Stars first team after serving out his mandatory suspension.
