Gilbert Fiamenyo will return to light training with Heart next week as the striker continues his recovery from an injury that has ruined his start to the new Premier League season.

The 20-year-old has not featured in the club’s pre-season plans due to a problematic knee injury.

The former Heart of Lions attacker has now been granted permission to resume training with the capital-based club.

Fiamenyo is confident he can recover in time to aid their title ambitions this term.

“I want to assure the fans that I will be back in the team very soon. I will start training next week and hopefully all things will go as planned.” Fiamenyo said

“The fact that I have not trained with the team does not mean I am not part of them. The fans will see me in action in no time.”

No date has been put on the player’s comeback but the fact he will be back running again will raise hopes that he will be involved in the Premier League at some point.

But he will surely miss fixtures against the likes of against Tema Youth, New Edubiase, Ebusua Dwarfs, All Stars and Berekum Chelsea.
