Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Fatau Dauda believes he needs to do more after keeping a clean sheet on his Absa Premiership debut on Saturday.

The Ghana number one glovesman replaced Senzo Meyiwa in the 69th minute due to injury after the Bucs had conceded the game’s only goal against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Meyiwa is said to have suffered from cramps and could spend some days in the treatment.

Despite impressing on his debut, Dauda believes there is more to be done to earn more game time.

“I don’t know what will happen in the next game. I have got a taste today, but now I need to work harder to impress the coaches,” the former AshantiGold player said in a post match interview.

some of you call your selves Ghanaians, then what have Ghana come to? smh
You should all be supporting Dauda as much as you support Kwarasey despite the situation with GFA official’s misunderstanding of Kwaraseys abilities. He plays for Ghana, hes representing our nation, what fault have he done to receive such backlass and stupid comment like claiming he uses juju? WTF??? just because the stars are aligned for him doesnt mean he ‘uses juju’. We should all be wishing dauda the best as we wish all our players the best. After all we want the best of the best to be representing Ghana.
Its funny … If/When dauda becomes simply amazing, I bet all of you will make a compete U-turn and start praising him. Kinda like the bs you all gave to AA.
We all know Kwarasey is better than Dauda (atleast this current moment), and he should be our #1. But that doesnt mean go ham on Dauda’s ass
