Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda says he is bidding for his time at Orlando Pirates in the wake of massive pressure on him to seek a new challenge ahead of the World Cup in Brazil.

Dauda has struggled to establish himself with the Bucs with manager Roger De Sa preferring local man Senzo Meyiwa in post.

The situation with the ex-Ashantigold shot-stopper has not gone done well with many Ghanaians fans with fears his lack of first team action could prove costly at the global piece in the South American country next year.

But the 28-year-old is refusing to press the panic button insisting his time will soon come.

“For now the coach knows why he is keeping me, the team is winning and it is difficult to change a winning team,” Dauda said.

“But God’s time is the best and I will continue to contribute my quota to my club and Ghana.”

Pirates coach Roger De Sa has rated Dauda as his third-choice and that comment has sparked widespread criticism.
