Posted On Saturday, 2nd February 2013

Fatau Dauda was phenomenal against Cape Verde

Goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has been voted the Orange man-of-the match in Ghana’s hard-fought 2-0 win over Cape Verde.

The Ashantigold shot-stopper was simply phenomenal at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium on Saturday and stood between the Islanders and the equalizer after the Black Stars had taken the lead.

WHERE ARE THE ZAMBIANS?I WANT YOU TO COME HERE MORE.KEEP COMING,KEEP COMING,KEEP COMING,THE MORE YOU COME THE MORE WE PROVE TO YOU.HAHAHAHAHA ZAMBIA MY FOOT.I PERSONALLY DON’T GIVE NO SHIT TO ZAMBIA FOOTBALL.THE POWER OF THE NAME GHANA IS HUGE.UPON HEARING THE NAME GHANA ,ALL COUNTRIES BOW BUT ZAMBIANS PERISH.

  4. Viper says:

Now it is about time..Lets bench Rabiu, bring in Annan stability in the midfield.John Boye was very good in the last tournament, together with Vorsah, they had a shocker today, not so sure about Adomah,Atsu tried his best to carry the team but there was no support. We should definitely be looking for new strikers,Gyan lethargic,Gyan you are through on goal and he fluffs it.that is not good at this level of competition.we have to fix our central defense, both Vorsah and Boye don’t look convincing. The coach need to be more visible and commamd the players.

    • nana says:

      @viper spot on mate.

Today I was quite disappointed with Adomah, A boy I really like hope that was a one off.
Glad the coach made that change when he did, for me asante has been doing very well when he comes on, much be pushin for a start now.
Gyan let me down again, the commentators said somthing in our last game and it stuck with me and I think they were spot on, gyan is a good striker but when he has time to think about what to do next he is terrible and that is so true as now in this afcon he has been put through 2 times clear yet he has no clue wat to do, yet look at his goal against Niger very good as then he didnt have time to think, Kwasi appear either has to change him or make sure he is more ruthless, I wont even mind if he misses but at least run to the goal and shot rather than that stupid dumb jog that allows the defenders to come back and make a tackle, that is conference level football, come on gyan.

Lastly our centre backs today were terrible they are normally so reliable but today they were shocking I really dont know what happened.

@Viper my only disagreement with you is Rabiu, the ref was hard on him but most of the so called fouls were very good taclkes overall he played very well patrick viera in the making!

  5. junior mafia says:

Where has been all this while ??? Top notch performance. Mother Ghana thank you. Bravo to you and the entire team. One good attribute of a good team is the ability to grind out results even if they have a poor game. That was exactly the case with this match. Good resolve guys !

  8. Union Leader says:

Correction: ‘where has he been all this while?’

  9. African Consciousness says:

Dauda no doubt man of the match with Wakaso a close second!

  10. Killer says:

  11. Dauda was superb. He deserve more than this. By the way, I was not mpressed with this poor perfomance of the black stars.

  14. mower says:

Dauda tried today but his timing at times is very poor.Adomah should not start the next match,Asante brings in more energy and willing to take on one and one,we need take advantage of his speed. For me,this the worse performance from the black star.If we played against more experienced side,i dont think we can win.
Try hard in the next match.

    • Sam says:

Wow,really mower, his timing was very poor, which game did u watch, i hope u talking about a different game. If his timing was poor cape verd would have score, look at the saves he made, he was the only defender on the field to me,if it wasnt him we would have been out, and u saying his timing was poor, may be u watched a different game from yesterday.

  15. SASRAKU 2000 says:

Please coach Appiah and technical team use the red jerseys for seriousness anytime you wear that jerseys the players play with MORE ENERGY.

  16. nan says:

i dnt undastand gh people.wateva dis players does we dnt appreciat.wev got de win so wat de fuck do dey want. Aaaa why are sm ghs soo naive.they shud give as a break.go BSs

  17. Apana Gana says:

Yes I support Sasraku anytime we put on the RED jerseys we perform much better. We must take notice of these small small things.

  18. Philosopher says:

Some Ghanaians are not appreciative at all!!!! What if we played very well with 99% ball possession and still loss…?….What if we ended up playing penalties and we were unfortunately down by a goal or two…are we gonna say that we played well but loss???…let’s still support and pray for the black stars to victory and stop this blatant and unwholesome criticisms….
    Thank you!!!

  19. NANA YAW says:

@SASRAKU 2000, SO U DEY SEE WHAT I DEY SEE.. THE RED JERSEYS IS A GOOD LUCK FOR THE BLACK STARS. WE SHOULD CHANGE THE WHITE COLOUR TO YELLOW OR GREEN AND RED.
