Fatau Dauda now sure of Orlando Pirates fate after being axed for South Africa league cup game

Ghana shot-stopper Fatau Dauda is now sure he will not be considered for the first-choice role at Orlando Pirates after he was left among the substitutes for their Nedbank Cup game on Saturday.

South African goalkeeper Mewiya Senzo held down his place in post as the Black Stars goalkeeper warmed the bench at the uMhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay as Pirates crawl from behind to beat Thanda Royal Zulu 3-1 on penalties following a dramatic 3-3 result after extra-time.

Dauda had been given hope of making appearances three weeks ago after replacing an injured Senzo and went ahead to complete full-time in league game but was dropped by interim coach Eric Tinkler for the next game and insisted the former AshGold keeper will not be his first choice.

However, after being snubbed for the League Cup, it has become pretty obvious he will not be playing regularly for the club until the end of the season.

Per the standing FIFA player transfer regulation, Dauda could quit Pirates at the end of the season as a free agent as he has not featured in over 10 percent of games for the club this season.

Hahahahahahaha….ugly dauda….thy re scared of his face….kwarasey has won

  2. askantwi says:

Only in Ghana that this Dauda guy could be the no.1 goalkeeper. Why? because the Black Stars Keeper’s trainer is in his pocket. He pays the man to be his personal trainer, so how could Yakubu not pick him over Kwarassey? How much does he pay him? Is it more than his actual salary as a trainer? The GFA must investigate all these filthy transactions in the Black Stars camp. How can Dauda be the BOSS of the Goalkeeper’s trainer. A serious and dirty advantage over the other goalkeepers.

Gentlemen, this issue is not the responsibility of the player but the coach. Many times players are not selected based on form but on what the coaches are willing to blackmail the players to give?

For Akwesi Appiah and his gang, being in a situation to influence a vulnerable player like Fatau’s career is what they prey on. They manipulate, twist their fragile minds and pilfer them of the little saved money with impunity. This is the kind of manipulations players like Adam Kwarasey cannot be influenced with, hence the reason why Adam is not being played.

Its pathetic and disgraceful to see a great African football powers like Ghana’s goalkeeper being a bench warmer for a stupid team like Orlando Pirates, in a down trodden league in South Africa. This kind of situation never happens anywhere but Ghana.

Akwesi Appiah should be ashamed of himself.

Mr.Fatau Dauda in the mix! I think he should only concede the idea of not being good for the Ghanaian national team.I read a wise article about Prince Tagoe yesterday.Of which he elaborated on ,players must be able to refuse invite into the national team when they lack playing time with their clubs.I think its in a good direction. If Fatau should admit he lack of match fitness and playing time.It will help him from further embarrassment when called into the national side.As well as saving him financially from bribes being paid to the goalkeeper’s trainer Yakubu to force his way into the number 1 spot.Else the disgrace will be too much for him and Yakubu both.We have Kwarasey,Foli Adade,Braimah,Steven Adams,Daniel Adjei and Amoako. They are all equally good to do the job in Brazil.Fatau doesnt match up at all.Whether he has playing time or not..Take good advise and stay away from the national team

    • spellBOUND says:

though Tagoe’s piece sounded genuine and sincere, it does not reflect today’s reality. for an out of form player, receiving a call up brings forth the idea and possibility of a chance to reinvent or to be noticed by clubs in need of fringe players..

no one in their right mind will turn down a call up when they haven’t played for their club, and the opportunity to play for country comes knocking. to do so will be so selfless that many aren’t capable of it. you might as well say goodbye to future call ups.. Tagoe’s advise only reigns true in a utopia setting… not in this me myself and i world of ours.

  5. benny says:

Who should we blame? Dauda or nepotism atic, favouratist AA and his technical staff.
Is it not a disgrace to Ghana to make a reject goalkeeper from a mediocre league our number one whiles goalkeepers who play week in week out are overlooked by AA.

  6. keith from germany says:

Yeah bro spellBound waris his got the killer instincts for goals.
That boy dont need a lot of chances.
I can surely tell u that he will be a big threat for the group opponents.
He will definately say goodbye to spartak when the season is over.infact he has already said goodbye to Moscow.

  7. Papadinho says:

Oh dauda, hm don’t know what to say again. Please leave Kwarasey alone!!! Don’t forget to repent and say a prayer everyday and God d will be your strength.
    Bless

  8. Benny says:

How disgraceful .Even a team in a mediocre league can’t trust Dauda to keep their post yet because of nepotism, bribery and favouritism AA and his crook technical team overlook Kwarasey who captains a team in a better league and choose bench warming expert DAUDA.
What does is say about our black stars.Olando pirates reject is our number one.

  9. real sabacious says:
