Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda believes he is gradually returning to his best form after winning the off-season Adansi Cup with AshantiGold.

The 29-year-old kept a second straight clean sheet in post for the Miners in their ongoing pre-season activities.

Dauda was good enough to keep out free-scoring Ahmed Toure in last weekend’s win over Asante Kotoko in Kumasi.

His exploits in post again helped AshGold claim the Adansi Cup on Sunday with a 1-0 win over New Edubiase.

The former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper is encouraged by his rising form.

“I think so [over his gradual return to form] because I kept a clean sheet in the game against Kotoko and also in today’s game against New Edubiase,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I am concentrating on working hard to improve myself every day.

“I feel very good within and ready to work even harder to prove myself always.”

Dauda’s shine with the Black Stars has faded since his move to South Africa to join Orlando Pirates.

He is however determined to regain the form that made him the undisputed first choice goalkeeper of Ghana especially with the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations fast approaching.
