Famous Ghanaian supporter Baby Joe is in recovery after undergoing surgery to fix a kidney and liver problem.

The diminutive Ghanaian fan who took the world by storm with his hilarious antics during the 2014 CHAN tournament in South Africa was operated on at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

He is currently admitted to the emergency unit of the hospital recuperating from surgery.

Baby Joe is however challenged with the payments of the huge cost of his treatment.

He is therefore receiving treatment through the benevolence of family and friends.

The ‘Ojoe Mensu’ performer was reported to be in high demand during the CHAN tournament in South Africa.

PSL clubs such as Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs were said to be interested in signing the youngster to entertain their players, officials and fans before, during and after matches.

A move to a South African club however never materialized three months after the CHAN tournament.

He is now racing against time to regain full fitness in order to travel to Brazil to support the Black Stars at the 2014 World Cup.

    Am a ghanaian currently living in Gabon.,
    I saw Joe in Gabon during 2012 nations cup where this guy was entertaining the group . Today on internet, I saw this same guy ( Joe ) on hospital bed.
    For now am at off-shore for 28 days (ie 28 days off 28 days on ) I will be in port gentil where i live on 6-May-14. if everything goes on well according to the programme. i will do all I can to support a bit. My contact is +24107927550. I wish Joe rapid recovery.
