Asamoah Gyan has returned to the Black Stars

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has been advised by his family not to take penalty kicks as he returns into the Black Stars squad.

Opanin Gyan, father of the former Sunderland striker, added that the Ghana Football Association and coach, Kwasi Appiah, were instrumental in the striker’s decision to overturn his decision of quitting the Black Stars.

Gyan announced his indefinite retirement from the Black Stars after Ghana’s fourth-place finish at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana lost out on a place in the finals after falling 1-0 to eventual champions, Zambia, in a match which saw Gyan miss a penalty in the early minutes.

Several death threats were posted on his twitter page in the aftermatwhich prompted his decision to quit the national team.

Now with a return on the cards, Opanin Gyan says his son should not take penalty kicks for the Black Stars in future.

“The family has advised him not to rush to take penalties,” Opanin Gyan said.

The player-cum-musician adduced as reason a psychological trauma he battled since his penalty miss against Uruguay in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Wise Father Opanin Gyan, take his advise and avoid penalty kicks for Ghana. You will have several opportunities to score goals in the field of play. Ghana has a top 10 midfield in the world they will feed you good balls. Just tell them, where, how and when to place them. You do not need penalty kicks to win the golden boot.

Who is Zambia? Your useless Zambia that is being taken over by the Chinese is what
you dumb ass Zambians should be discussing but not Ghana Black Stars. Why are you shallow minded Zambian fans not talking about ivory coast or other teams your chipolopolo beat? Oh because Ghana is supreme in African football! Zambian fans should put it into their dumb ass brains that they will never match Ghana in anything….you will never achieve what Ghana has achieve in international football so you guys should shut the hell up and enjoy this moment that you have because it will fade away sooner than you think. The Chinese are killing you Zambians in your mines and that is what you dumb ass Zambians should be worrying about but not Black Stars…because will be back.
