New Edubiase United players celebrating their FA Cup triumph on the rostrum

By Akyereko Frimpong-Manson

New Edubiase United FC will represent Ghana at next year’s CAF Confederation Cup after winning the Ghana MTN FA Cup on Sunday.

The Bekwai-based side secured a slim 1-0 win over AshantiGold at the Accra Sports Stadium thanks to a 50th minute mark thunderous free-kick from captain Ibrahim Moro.

Edubiase have promised to compete after sponsors SIDALCO pledged to provide cash support.

Last season’s winners Nania FC failed to represent the country citing financial constraints.
