The MTN FA Cup Awards ceremony has now been fixed for September 14, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The event was originally set to come off on August 17 nineteen days after the grand finale between AshantiGold and New Edubiase.

The final was however postponed following the sudden demise of Ghana’s President John Atta-Mills.

The awards ceremony subsequently had to be postponed but has now been rescheduled to take place on September 14 at the State Banquet Hall in Accra.

The candidates for the various award categories will be confirmed in the coming days.

Categories to be contested include the Most Valuable Player award which was last won by Asante Kotoko’s Ahmed Toure.

Other awards which candidates will vie for are; the Coach of the Tournament, Goal of the Tournament, Discovery of the Tournament, Defender of the Tournament, Goalkeeper of the Tournament and Top scorer of the Tournament.

This year’s competition was won by Premier League club New Edubiase United who will be representing Ghana in the next edition of the Caf Confederations Cup.
