Ghana defender Masahudu Alhassan is close to joining Serie A side Genoa from Udinese, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Director Michele Criscitiello has arrived at the Fruili to begin negotiations for his transfer.

The 21-year-old signed by I Rossoblu and was in their stables between 2011-2013 before sold last January to Udinese in a co-ownership deal.

He was loaned out to Latina for last season where he made 42 appearances and scored one goal.

The left-back has previously played on loan at Novara.

Alhassan played at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
