Ex-Asante Kotoko trainer Telat Uzum wants to stage a return to the Ghanaian champions, declaring he has an ‘unfinished business’ at the club.

The experienced Turkish coach is in Ghana on a scouting mission, eight years after leaving the Ghanaian giants.

The 51-year-old has been inactive on the touchline since he left relegated Ghanaian side Real Tamale United in 2010.

Uzum coach Kotoko in the 2006-2007 season but left after just a season in charge of the Porcupine Warriors.

The former Karlsruher SC and Fenerbahçe midfielder identified and nurtured ex-Kotoko midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei who went on become one of their finest players in recent times.

The highly-rated tactician says he ready to return to Kotoko to complete an ‘unfinished business’.

“I am ready to come back to Kotoko because I have an unfinished business at the club,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com exclusively

“I had a wonderful one year stint with the club but could not achieve my ultimate objectives due to a number of reasons.

“I spent only a season at the club and I must admit it’s one of the best moments of my coaching career.

“The fans are great and amazing and will love to return to help contribute my quota to the success of the team.

“The fans love me and I love them. They are one of the greatest in the world and it will be a delight to be part of that big family.

The astute coach flew from Turkey to watch Kotoko’s Premier League clash against Hearts of Oak last Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium.

Current coach Mas-ud Dramani has remained coy over his long-term future at the club, which could prompt the Porcupine Warriors to consider the expatriate for the top position.
