Ghanaian forward Theophilus Anobaah has signed a three-year contract with Egyptian club Petrojet in a move which will infuriate Medeama SC, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 24-year-old sealed the permanent deal as a free agent despite the claim by Medeama he is still under a valid contract.

Anobaah impressed Petrojet officials during a brief trial stint and was immediately signed up after passing a medical and agreeing to personal terms.

Petrojet director of football, Mustafa Hendawy and Anobaah's agent Mohamed El Zayat witnessed the signing-on ceremony in Suez on Friday.

Anobaah thus becomes the third Ghanaian player to have signed for the oil-rich club, following ex Asante Kotoko star Eric Bekoe who played for Petrojet between 2009 and 2012.

His move will however not go down well with Medeama who claim they still have a valid contract with the forward who excelled with the Ghana national team at the CHAN tournament staged earlier this year in South Africa.

The Ghanaian Premier League club have placed an indefinite ban on Anobaah for not reporting for the club's pre-season preparations.
