Just hours after Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah announced his final 23-man squad for the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil, the entire squad is heading to the United States to begin serious works.
The entire squad and officials with the team are ready to fly from Rotterdam to Los Angeles in the USA to fine-tune preparation before heading to Natal – Ghana’s base in Brazil.
Defender Jerry Akaminko who suffered a heartbreaking ankle injury and is ruled out of the tournament is travelling with the team to the United States to see an ankle specialist.
“USA get ready the blackstars are coming…. flying [to] NY [to] Miami,” Schalke star Kevin-Prince Boateng posted on his Instagram page.
The team will spend a week training at their USA camping before taking on Asian giants South Korea in the last warm-up game on June 9 before heading to Brazil the next day.
Ghana’s Group G opponents Portugal and Germany have already arrived in the USA and intensified their training as he both seek a good tournament.
