Monaco have slapped in a massive offer to sign Ghana defender Jerry Akaminko from Turkish club Eski?ehirspor, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The French side have tabled 9 million Euros to help them prise the central defender, who can also play on the right side of defence, from the Turkish top-flight club.

The big-spending French club are among four clubs in the top leagues of Europe seeking poach the versatile defender from Eski?ehirspor. Monaco will join rivals Olympique Lyon, Liverpool and Aston Villa who are all keen on signing the Ghana international, insiders have told Ghana's leading football news outfit, GHANAsoccernet.com.

Eski?ehirspor will have the next two weeks to respond to the offer which could also massively boost the career of the reliable centre-back.

Akaminko's agent Aytaç Dundar will now have to negotiate with Eski?ehirspor who are holding out for more money for the Ghanaian.

The Turkish club think the Ghanaian is worth more than 10 million Euros which could be the sticking point in the deal.

But the Ghanaian is keen on the move which will catapult him to the limelight by playing in one of the most respected leagues in Europe, boosting his chances of making Ghana's 2014 World Cup squad.

Eski?ehirspor will also have to listen to the offer as Akaminko's contract will end at the end of next season which could allow him to leave on a free transfer.

Following his impressive performances in the Turkish top-flight, Akaminko has attracted interest from German, British and French teams who closely monitor his matches.

Almost every week, a senior team of observers from various club in Europe travel to Turkey to watch his matches - a fact known in the Turkish media.
