Italian side Parma have handed a trial to promising Medeama youngster Jacob Apau, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Apau has been invited by manager Roberto Donadoni who wants to run the rule over the Ghanaian youth international ahead of a possible move for the 18-year-old.

GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal that the Ghana Under-20 speedster impressed during a one-week trial last week and was asked to stay on for another week for further assessment.

If the move is successful, the highly-rated youngster will be drafted to the team B side to enable him gain more experience.

Apau, touted as one of the promising youngsters in the West African country, was a member of the Ghana U20 team which clinched silver at the 2013 African Youth Championship in Algeria in 2013.

He recently returned from Armenia after a successful six-month loan deal at top-flight side Shirak FC.
