Livorno have fined Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan for leaving without permission

Italian Serie A side Livorno have fined Ghana youth midfielder Alfred Duncan and axed him from their squad for taking a few more days off during his Christmas vacation in Ghana, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm. 

Livorno allowed all their foreign players to travel to their respective countries for the Christmas holidays but Duncan failed to notify Livorno officials before travelling to Accra in mid-December.

The Tuscan-club have told the 2013 Ghana U20 midfielder he will forfeit party of salary and will not be in the squad for their game against Fiorentina on January 5 when the Serie A resume.

Duncan's discipline came under scrutiny while with the Ghana U20 side in Turkey.

He is on loan at Livorno from Inter Milan.
