Exclusive: Laryea Kingston sacked from Hearts camp

Posted On Tuesday, 4th September 2012

Laryea Kingston has been told to home

Hearts of Oak coach CK Akunnor has sacked midfielder Laryea Kingston from camp,GHANASoccernet.com

 can exclusively reveal.

Akunnor claims the former Ghana international broke camp rules by driving to their camping base in Sekondi where the team is on pre-season.

Kingston, who joined his teammates on Sunday, was asked to return his Four-wheel Jeep  vehicle after Tuesday’s training session but the player refused.

Akunnor was forced to wield the disciplinary axe and had no option but to throw him out.

The 30-year-old also reported to camp with his own drinking water and a mattress which irked the coach.

Last week, there were reports that Kingston was sacked from camp but Hearts officials vehemently denied.

The player also explained his absence from camp was due to illness.

Why is Laryea like this? So you think black stars coach will ever invite you? No. This guy has been in the news for the wrong reasons. Why bra Laryea? Grow up.

  2. Boba Fett says:

    individualistic.

  3. Selfmade says:

Sometimes is saddened me alot when i hear such reports about laryea who could have being one of the finest players Ghana has known but his bane has being indisciplined!!! I quite remember when he was with hearts before his sojourn abroad,he slapped sarfo gyamfi in kumasi and sarfo cursed him by saying that he ll never do well in his football career and knowing sarfo very well then one has to take him serious!! I don’t know whether he has apologized to sarfo or not, but if he hasn’t then i suggest he do so cuz some curses could be generational and start afresh because the bible says respect thy father and mother and u ll live long which in other words respect everyone who is older than u… i believed that some of these curses are following him because when Ghana qualified to the Germany worldcup, this guy was one of our best players at that time and something weird happens during the Ghana-senegal match,he picked a red card and by extension couldn’t feature at the worldcup.. weird right? Then when we qualified for sa,the coach miraculously axed him from the squad though there were some junior players that could have being axed… weird too…. if i was him,i ll sit down and the stock of my life!!! Had i know is always the philosophy of fools… viva the revolutionicon!!

  4. KT says:

you said you are a professional player who traveled the world. is that the example you are bringing to the Ghana premier league? is that how you plan to come and improve the local league? with your indiscipline? we are sorry. this is unacceptable to us. A decorated monkey is still a monkey.thank you coach ck for showing your leadership qualities.

  7. Francis Obeng from Kumasi. says:

Ooh that’s very unfortunate. My own lovely and cherished Bra Laryea. Pls stay cool for we your fans. All Hearts fans accross the length and breath of the country are strongly behind you. Pls pls we are looking up to you to deliver for us and gain a call up into the Black Stars. Phoooooobia! Real Continental Club Masters.

  8. kpakpo says:

Am not surprised by laryea’s atitude. He is so indiciplined we hear he once insulted the board chairman at the team’s training grounds but nobody took action. Beat up the current team manager when he was not even a member of the team, and insults everybody including the team’s phisio. Is is true that he reported late to the camp?coack ck , we thank you for your action

  9. DEEM says:

i guss they should sit this guy down and ask him well whats wrong with him, sacking him wont solve the problem

  10. abanga says:

bra laryea, why? why? are u a kid , pls grow up

  11. Nii Nii says:

Hahahahaha,He’s even older than CKA. He’s finding it difficult to submit

  12. kojo sam says:

tank u coach CK for ur leadership quality.let bra Laryea no dat he,s not above the laws of our mother club phobia.phobia is bigger dan anybody on dis planet so Laryea can go we the phobains will not site down for anybody to destroy the team with indicplinary actions.bra Laryea plz grow up n go n appologize

  13. Fresher says:

With these endless stupidity that he and his fellow blind admirers are clamoring for his return to The Black Stars? Laryea is past his prime, Laryea Kingston’s persona in H of Oaks current setup can be compared to a “cracked black pot” who’s destination is a refuse dump (Borla).

  14. SULEMAN SEIDU says:

I like him very much so I am always saddened when I hear stories of this nature about him. He should backup.

  15. joe louis says:

this is unadmirable. How you BRA LARYEA of all people will be doing this thing but not the locally based players. i1m disappointed at you. please buck up

  16. Prince ennin says:

Heart officials should sit down nd talk 2 the boy that issue of sacking him never solve the problem.
