Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffu is heading to Lebanon to sign for Al Ansar SC, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
Ghana’s leading football website, www.GHANASoccernet.com, can confirm the 29-year-old will pen a three-year contract with the Beirut-based side who finished second last season.
Akuffu did not travel with the Asante Kotoko team to Kumasi after playing the entire duration in the 2-1 win over Hearts of Oak in Accra in the Ghana Premier League derby.
He left Accra on Monday morning to play for his first foreign club after a failed move to Al Ahli Sports Club and Al Akhdar.
The former WAFA SC trainee has got one month left on his contract with the defending Ghanaian champions.
