Ghanaian teenager Grejohn Kyei has been handed a professional contract by French Ligue 1 Stade Reims, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.

The 18-year-old signed a three-year deal which will make him a key member of the side for next season.

Kyei has been at the club since 2010 and made strides by scoring 19 goals in 24 matches with the U19 and reserve league sides.

"Of course, I am very satisfied. This means that my work paid off. I made ??a lot of efforts in recent years. This is a great reward. I am very happy,” Kyei told the club’s website.

“I want to climb the ladder with the club. Immediately I want to make appearances with the first team and ultimately acquire. We will see later how far I can go.

“I already expect to train with the senior sides at the start of next season. This will be hard. This will be a first for me.

"I'll have to adapt myself to the physical level. I'll give my all that the coach can see that I am a good player. "

Stade Reims are eighth on the league table with five matches to the end of the season.
