Ghanaian midfielder Yussif Chibsah has returned to the Swedish by signing for top-flight side GAIS after leaving Turkey, Ghana's leading football news outlet, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 31-year-old signed a one-year contract with GAIS on Sunday night ahead of the start of the new season in Sweden.

Chibsah joins GAIS from Alanyaspor after just one season of playing for the Turkish side following his huge experience of playing in Sweden with giants Djurgarden.

The former Ghana international's decision to sign for GAIS has delighted the club who are keen on counting on his experience to boost their squad.

"Fantastic fun to get to sign such a class player to join the squad. Chibsah will bring lots of quality and valuable experience," says GAIS sporting director Jonas Lundén.

Chibsah, the former Asante Kotoko star midfielder, has played over 150 premier league matches in Sweden and 15 A-caps for Ghana.

He moved to Sweden in 2007 where he played over 100 matches for Gefle before joining Djurgarden where he played 57 matches before his journey to Turkey.
