American-born Ghanaian attacker Joseph-Claude Gyau Agyeman has left TSG Hoffenheim to join Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.

The 21-year-old, grandson of Ghana legend Agyeman Gyau, completed his long-term move to Dortmund on Sunday night but will join the club's second string side for the upcoming season.

Gyau has began pre-season with the Dortmund II side and was fielded in a 2-0 warm-up victory over Lüner SV on Sunday.

The speedy winger joined Hoffenheim in 2009 but managed to make just two first team appearances while scoring 7 times in 26 appearances for the Hoffs' reserves side.

He joins Ghanaian versatile defender Evans Owusu Nyarko in the Dortmund II for the upcoming season.

Gyau has featured for the United States at various youth levels but is yet to receive a call-up from Jurgen Klinsmann. Something which makes him eligible to play for Ghana in the future.

Last month, the player gave a strong indication he could play for Ghana when he questioned an American fan who claimed he would never play for Ghana.
