Frank Sarfo-Gyamfi has negotiated his release from Maritzburg United for a return to the Ghanaian top flight for one season, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Ghana U20 star wishes to return to Ghana on personal grounds.

An agreement was reached between the player and the South African club on Wednesday night to part ways on a season’s-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old’s progress with the Team of Choice has been hit in recent times with niggling injuries.

The suspicion therefore is for the former Wa All Stars player to return to Ghana to regain his full strength and form.

Maritzburg United reluctantly agreed to the player’s proposal as he is considered an important member of Ernst Middendorp’s team.

Gyamfi is however undecided on the club he will be joining upon his return to Ghana even though there are available options.

The Ghana U20 star remains a substantive player of Maritzburg United with two-years left on his existing deal.

The pacy winger played for the Black Satellites at the African Youth Championships earlier this year but was unable to make the team for the World Cup due to injury.
